MADISON COUNTY, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Dr. Nason Lollar, principal of the Madison Career and Technical Center (MCTC), can now add author to his title. This past summer, he published his first book, “The 5 Principles of Educator Professionalism.”

“I kind of came up with the idea of trying to define professionalism, which is a really hot topic today,” said Lollar.

He has a cancelled flight to thank as well.

“I got stuck in an airport for about four to five hours back in 2019 and didn’t have anything else to do. I opened my MacBook and started typing. That turned into my first blog post,” he said.

Lollar hopes his book inspires not only educators but all book lovers.

“The job of a teacher can sometimes be thankless at times, and I hope the book gives them all a takeaway of the meaningfulness of the work,” said Lollar.

You can purchase a copy of his book, “The 5 Principles of Educator Professionalism,” on Amazon.
