TERRY, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Terry residents will see changes when it comes to garbage collection at their homes.

A public forum was held on Monday with residents, city leaders and Republic Services, which has been collecting garbage in Terry for the past 10 years.

The new change will have the company picking up garbage only once a week and picking up no more than five 35-pound gallon bags. Some residents are frustrated with the change because the price of garbage collection was increasing, but the days of garbage pickup were decreasing.

The new change will cost residents $26.05 per month and will go into effect on October 7, 2024.

Hinds County is screwed! There is no storm pick up. JACKSON and Richard disposal still do not know where all their customers are. They sure know how to collect more money.
