Name selected for new baseball team coming to Trustmark Park

PEARL, Miss. ( WJTV ) – A name has been selected for the new baseball team coming to Trustmark Park in Pearl.

According to the On Deck 2025 Facebook page , the new team will be called the Mississippi Mud Monsters. The other names that were being considered were Mississippi Grits and the Mississippi Soul Shakers.

The new team will be an expansion of the Frontier League.

The Mississippi Braves finished their last game at Trustmark Park earlier this month before their move to Georgia.
