    Mississippi driver dies after car crashes into two horses

    HOLMES COUNTY, Miss. ( WJTV ) – One person was killed after a vehicle crashed into two horses in Holmes County.

    The crash occurred on Highway 17 around 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 26.

    One hospitalized due to Vicksburg house fire

    Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 2005 Dodge Charger was traveling north on the highway when it collided with two horses that were standing in the middle of the highway. The vehicle overturned.

    The driver, 32-year-old Preston Nichelson, of Pickens, received fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

    The crash remains under investigation by MHP.

    sad news to hear. i didn't know dis young man. but condolences and prayers to his family and friends. and one of the commentator on here right what she are saying. regardless if he was speeding or not. because alot of us on here wasn't there and plus the article say it was two horses in the middle of the hwy. which shouldn't been in the middle of the hwy. but too make a long and sad story short. some peoples shouldn't be so nasty and cruel when it come down to a person getting killed. you should know better and do better. and show respect for the man family and love ones. if u can't say something nice, then you shouldn't say nothing. like da lady said. it could had been one of your love ones.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
