    Four teens arrested after Madison County chase

    MADISON COUNTY, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Four teenagers were arrested after a chase in Madison County.

    Madison County District 3 Constable Richard Johnson said the incident occurred just before 10:15 a.m. on September 27, 2024. He said he attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on Nissan Parkway, but the black 2016 Dodge Charge fled east on the road.

    Johnson said the vehicle turned on Highway 51 and went through a section that was closed due to a movie filming. A Madison County deputy was almost hit by the suspects’ vehicle.

    The suspects continues south on the highway, eventually lost control of the vehicle and wrecked near Hard Times Road. Johnson said all four suspects attempted to runaway, but they were arrested.

    The driver and three passengers were all 18-year-old males. They face multiple charges including possession of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. The driver was charged with additional charges of felony fleeing and aggravated assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, as well reckless driving, driving on the wrong side of the road and improper start.

    The four suspects are being held at the Madison County Detention Center.
