    Two teens charged with firing shots into Jackson crowd

    JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Jackson police arrested two teenagers after they allegedly fired shots into a crowd during a gathering.

    The shooting occurred in the 3600 block of South Frontage Road on Saturday, September 28. Detective Tommie Brown said officers received information about the suspects’ vehicle, which was identified as a white SUV.

    According to Brown, two vehicles were shot into during the incident. One vehicle was occupied, but no injuries were reported.

    Officers later located the suspects’ vehicle at a nearby gas station. They discovered the SUV was occupied by a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old. Brown said officers also recovered the weapon used to fire shots into the crowd.

    The unidentified teens were both arrested and charged with aggravated assault, shooting into an occupied vehicle, possession of a firearm by a minor, and malicious mischief.
