Ridgeland police arrest man wanted for statutory rape, auto burglary

RIDGELAND, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Ridgeland police arrested a Jackson man for statutory rape and auto burglary.

According to investigators, officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Marketridge Drive and Cole Road on Monday, September 30.

The driver was identified as Davion Amari Crooks, 22, of Jackson. Police said it was discovered that Crooks had an active arrested warrant through the Ridgeland Police Department for auto burglary. He was also wanted by the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office for statutory rape.

Crooks was arrested and transported to the Madison County Detention Center.
