Man killed in Wayne County drive-by shooting

WAYNE COUNTY, Miss. ( WHLT ) – A 44-year-old man died after he was shot in Wayne County.

Deputies said they responded to the drive-by shooting on Claiborne Jones Road in Waynesboro around 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8.

When Wayne County deputies arrived at the location, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim, who was identified as Eddie Poole, Jr., was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

No arrests have been made in the case. Anyone with information can contact the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department at 601-735-2323.
