Load restrictions in place on I-55 North in South Mississippi

LINCOLN COUNTY, Miss. ( WJTV ) – There will be temporary wide load restrictions on Interstate 55 North in Pike and Lincoln counties.

Officials with the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) said the restrictions will take place on I-55 North from U.S. 98 to U.S. 84 due to construction. The work will take place from Friday, October 11 through Fall 2026.

There will be no wide loads exceeding 11 feet allowed on I-55 northbound from U.S. 98 to U.S. 84. Wide loads must exit at U.S. 98.

According to MDOT, this restriction is in additional to the temporary wide load restriction on I-55 South in Pike and Lincoln counties.
