    Mississippi Mud Monsters unveil team logo

    PEARL, Miss. ( WJTV ) – The Mississippi Mud Monsters officially unveiled their team logo on Thursday, October 10.

    The new Frontier League team will play at Trustmark Park in Pearl. Their inaugural season will be held in 2025.

    The Mississippi Mud Monsters name was chosen through a three-week, community-focused campaign. More than 5,600 votes were cast, with the Mississippi Mud Monsters receiving just more than 50%.

    “This team isn’t just about baseball; it’s about building a shared sense of pride for our fans and our city,” said Joseph Eng, CEO and owner of the Mississippi Mud Monsters. “We are grateful for the support we’ve received from local leaders, partners, and the community as we continue to build something special here.”

    The team also shared upcoming plans, including the announcement of the General Manager and other key executives, a mascot announcement, and other fan activities, which will roll out in the coming months as the team prepares for the 2025 season.

    “We hope you see a bit of yourselves in this logo,” said Eng. “This is about celebrating the things that make Mississippi special, and we can’t wait to share this remarkable journey with all of Mississippi as we race toward our first homestand next May.”

    The Mississippi Braves finished their last game at Trustmark Park in September 2024 before their move to Georgia.
