    Mississippi daycare owner charged after two children found on highway

    KOSCIUSKO, Miss. ( WJTV ) – A Mississippi daycare owner has been charged after authorities said two young children were found on the highway.

    Breezy News reported the incident occurred on Friday, October 4 when the two children wandered away from Wee Kids Daycare on Highway 35 North.

    Kosciusko police said the children were safety removed from the highway.

    Investigators said Wendy Hood, the owner of the daycare, turned herself in to the Kosciusko Police Department on Tuesday, October 8. She has been charged with two counts of child neglect. Hood is now out on bond.
