Silver Alert issued for 71-year-old Meridian man

JASPER COUNTY, Miss. ( WHLT ) – A Silver Alert has been issued for a 71-year-old Meridian man.

Agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) said Fielden William Mitts was last seen on Sunday, October 13 around 5:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of County Road 20 in Jasper County. He was driving an off-road utility vehicle.

According to agents, Mitts was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and a camouflage hat.

Family members said Mitts suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment. Anyone with information on his whereabouts can contact the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department at 601-764-2588 or 911.
