    Pearl River County road closed due to bridge project

    PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. ( WHLT ) – Officials with the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) announced a Pearl River County road will be closed due to a bridge replacement project.

    The closure will affect both directions of 8th Street/North Haugh Avenue in Pearl River County. According to officials, 8th Street will be inaccessible from U.S. 11. The work is associated with a bridge replacement project on U.S. 11.

    Rail service in Wayne County could be restored

    MDOT officials said the closure will take place from 7:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14 to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 1.

    Drivers should seek alternate routes and are reminded to be on high alert for roadside workers.

    That's in Picayune, folks, they are widening the Hwy11, short, 2 lane bridge to 4 lanes like they widened Hwy11 up to HAL.
