JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Officials with the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) announced that the new MSDH Healthy App is now available for download.

Officials said the app allows for easy access to the many services and resources the agency provides. The app is free.

Resources include:

• Real-time alerts for health and weather emergencies, disease outbreaks and public health advisories
• Appointment booking for health services and screenings
• Find a Health Department location
• Vital records and public records requests
• Health resources and more.

“Our new Healthy App was designed to make accessing our services easier by putting everything at your fingertips,” said Dr. Dan Edney, MSDH Executive Director and State Health Officer. “It’s not just for the patients we serve in our clinics but for all Mississippians, because our priority is keeping the entire state healthy and safe. So please, download the app.”

The MSDH Healthy App is available in the Apple and Android App stores.
