Woman killed during Edwards crash

EDWARDS, Miss. ( WJTV ) – A woman was killed during a crash in Edwards.

The crash occurred on Old Port Gibson Road near Old Number 3 on Wednesday, October 16.

Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones said witnesses reported seeing the vehicle leaving the road and overturning.

The driver, 28-year-old Lashell D. Johnson, died at the scene. Jones said the cause of the crash could be due to a medical emergency and is under investigation.
