    20 people become U.S. citizens in Mississippi

    JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – Twenty people became United States citizens on Thursday at the U.S. District Court in Jackson.

    They took the oath to become citizens. Jessica Hill, one of the individuals, said this process took her 17 years.

    “Relieved. My biggest feeling is relieved, and like kind of disbelief. Like, it’s actually happening because it’s been so long. It’s been a long time coming,” she said.

    The new citizens will create their own version of an American dream.
