    8 Ohio craft breweries took home awards from 2024 World Beer Cup

    DAYTON , Ohio ( WDTN ) — Eight Ohio craft breweries — including three from Northeast Ohio — received a total of 10 awards at the 2024 World Beer Cup in Las Vegas on Wednesday.

    The Ohio Craft Brewers Association celebrated the wins by emphasizing how these breweries’ innovative flavors foster community-building statewide.

    “Consumers are seeking out high quality, innovative, flavorful beverages, and Ohio breweries are delivering,” said Mary MacDonald, executive director of the Ohio Craft Brewers Association.

    Northeast Ohio World Beer Cup winners

    Fat Head’s Brewery in Middleburg Heights took home two gold and one silver for their Bone Head, Goggle Fogger and Dunkleosteus brews.

    Masthead Brewing in Cleveland won silver for their Jalapeno IPA.

    Market Garden Brewery took home bronze for their Prosperity Wheat, a previous gold medal winner at the Great American Beer Festival.

    Southwest Ohio World Beer Cup winners

    Centerville’s Loose Ends Brewing won silver in the German-style Doppelbock or Eisbock category for their Loose Handle brew. This was the first World Beer Cup win for the brewery.

    Rhinegeist in Cincinnati took a silver award for their Scottish-style ale Uncle.

    Brink Brewing Company, also in Cincinnati, earned bronze for their Lil Zoomie in the coffee store or porter category.

    Central Ohio World Beer Cup winners

    Columbus-based Gemut Biergarten took home gold in the Dortmunder/Export or German-style Oktoberfest category for their Skol Crusher Dortmunder beer.

    Pickerington’s Combustion Brewery & Taproom earned silver for their Nocino Imperial Stout in the Wood- and Barrel-Aged Strong Stout category.
