    Crash closes lanes on Ohio Turnpike

    SANDUSKY COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) – A travel alert was issued for the Ohio Turnpike Wednesday afternoon.

    According to officials, the center and left lanes westbound on Ohio Turnpike in Sandusky County were closed just before 2 p.m.

    The closure is due to a crash at milepost 81.9.

    There is no word on injuries.

    Officials recommend using Toll Plaza 91 (Fremont-Port Clinton) as an alternate route.

    No word on when the crash will be cleared.
