    Man found dead in Akron’s Hardesty Park

    AKRON , Ohio (WJW) — Authorities currently do not suspect foul play in the death of a 49-year-old man whose body was discovered Monday afternoon in Hardesty Park.

    A park visitor found the man unresponsive inside a portable toilet, according to a Monday news release. Officers and EMS workers responded to the Wallhaven Drive park dispatched just after 1 p.m., and determined the man was dead.

    Authorities believe the 49-year-old man may have had a medical emergency, according to the release. His identity has been withheld, pending further investigation.
