“I was at work running my stand at the West Side Market and I noticed some kids came in and they were circling the parking lot,” said Scott. “One of the kids got out of the car right after an elderly lady walked into the market. The kid broke out the window of her car and jumped into the car.”

Scott said he knew he had to act quickly, so he ran over and grabbed the suspect. He tried to get him out of the car. He said the suspect looked to be about 14 years old.

“I was trying to hold him until police arrived, but the other two suspects were in a car and tried to run me over,” Scott said. “So I jumped to get out of the way and he ran. He got in the car and they took off.”
