Evening brings cool temps once again

(WJW) — Thursday has been another B-E-A-U-TIFUL summer day! Temperatures are only topping out in the lower to mid 70s Thursday afternoon, which is on the cooler side of things. The average high in Cleveland this time of year is 81 degrees. Plus, the humidity has stayed low and there has been no shortage of sunshine.

There will still be plenty of time to enjoy the pleasant summer weather Thursday evening.

The combination of the mostly clear sky and cool, dry air will temperatures to tumble into the upper 40s and lower 50s Thursday night. Many kiddos will need a light jacket or sweatshirt first thing Friday morning.

Anyone who might need a light jacket or sweatshirt first thing in the morning will not need it long. Temperatures will climb back up to near 80 degrees Friday afternoon, which is more seasonable for this time of year.

The weather looks great of the first week of high school football across Northeast Ohio. Temperatures will slowly drop through the 70s Friday evening.

Fake fall will come to an end this weekend. Highs on Saturday and Sunday will be in the mid to upper 80s. Saturday will be more of a dry heat as the humidity will stay low. However, the humidity will start to creep back up on Sunday. Sunday afternoon will have more of sticky feel to it.

This dry stretch of weather with very little to no rain will continue through the upcoming weekend. The next chance of rain probably will not come until the middle of next week.
