2 Canton men, 1 woman arrested in Pennsylvania after bank robberies

NORTH CANTON, Ohio (WJW) — Three suspects in a recent local bank robbery were arrested this week in Pennsylvania, North Canton police confirmed.

The Ohio robbery took place at a North Canton Citizens Bank on July 21. Along with the help of the FBI and the Pennsylvania State Police, the three suspects were located on Aug. 21 following reports of another robbery in the Keystone State.

Police were not specific about all the charges for the two men and one woman, all from Canton, but said there are multiple and that they’re federal and local in nature.

All three suspects — Matthew Smith, 32, Christopher Lucius, 36, and Latoya Young, 43 — are being held at Beaver County Jail in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, according to police.

An investigation is ongoing.

Every idiot who robs a bank gets caught today. Unless you're a prolific bank robber like in the movie Heat you're going to get caught. I guess they probably thought they would get away with it if they went to another state. Now they are in Beaver County for a long time while their cases go through the slow process of federal court. Some of those fed cases take a couple of years to get resolved.
