26-year-old airlifted after motorcycle crash

WAKEMAN TOWNSHIP , Ohio (WJW) – A 26-year-old man from Ashland was airlifted to Cleveland Metro Hospital after the motorcycle he was driving went off the roadway, hit a ditch and overturned.

The crash happened shortly after 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, on State Route 60, south of Auster Road, in Huron County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Dylan Steen, 26, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and sustained serious injuries.

Troopers said in a press release, “Preliminary investigations suggest that speed and alcohol use may have contributed to the crash, though the incident remains under investigation.”
