FORECAST: Fall-like temperatures before another warm up

(WJW) — Labor Day is going to be very fall-like! Despite a ton of sunshine, temperatures will only top out near 70 degrees, which is well below normal for this time of year. The weather looks great for any outdoor events or backyard BBQs Monday afternoon.

The only downfall about the weather on Monday will be the wind. Monday afternoon will be breezy at times, with north winds at 10 to 15 mph. The gusty north winds could make Lake Erie a bit choppy.

The combination of the cool, dry air, light wind, and mostly clear sky will allow temperatures to tumble Monday evening into Monday night. Lows will be in the 40s for areas well inland, while places near the lake will have lows closer to 50 degrees.

Tuesday will be another mostly sunny and fall-like day. Highs on Tuesday will be in the mid 70s.

Temperatures will start to warm mid-week. Highs on Wednesday and Thursday will be in the lower to mid 80s.

The chance of rain and a few rumbles will return Friday into Saturday as a cold front moves through Northeast Ohio. There may also be a quick spike in the humidity ahead of the front.

We’ll get another taste of fall behind the front. Temperatures will only be in the 60s for the Browns game on Sunday!
