    Winning $50,000 scratch-off sold at local gas station

    AKRON, Ohio (WJW) – A local scratch-off purchase was a winner.

    According to the Ohio Lottery , Donald bought a “Billion” ticket recently at the BP on Main Street in Akron.

    Mega Millions jackpot never won at this level

    It was worth $50,000. He’ll take home $36,000 after taxes.

    Billion is a $50 scratch-off game. The top prize is $1 million a year for 20 years.

    According to the Ohio Lottery, there are three top prizes remaining in the game as of September 4.

    Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot is still growing.

    No one matched all six numbers Tuesday night.

    That means the new jackpot is estimated at $740 million.

    Shake Shack to close one Ohio location

    The next drawing is on Friday night at 11 p.m.

    According to the Ohio Lottery, players won $2.8 billion in prizes in 2023.

    The Ohio Lottery was created in 1973.
