    Boys & Girls Clubs make more room for local kids

    (WJW) – More kids will get to be a part of Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio this fall.

    According to a press release, five clubs that were targeted for closure are going to remain open after some funding was reallocated.

    Here are the Clubs:

    • Helen Arnold Community Learning Center in Akron
    • Westwood Middle School in Elyria
    • Huron Primary School in Ashtabula
    • Westwood Elementary School in Wellington
    • Elmwood Elementary School in Garfield Heights

    The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio says it will be opening 32 of the 49 locations that operated during the 2023-2024 school year.

    They say capacities are limited at each site due to staff size.
