OSNABURG TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating after a fatal crash in Stark County over the weekend.

The crash happened around 6:26 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of U.S. Route 30 and Broadway Avenue NE in Osnaburg Township.

According to state troopers, a 1996 Chevrolet S-10, heading south on Broadway Avenue, traveled left of center while making a turn, hitting a 2019 Jeep Cherokee head-on.

Investigators say both the pickup truck and the SUV went off the side of the road into a field after the crash.

The Chevy driver, identified as 34-year-old Jacqlyne Lindberg of Canton, was taken to Mercy Hospital with life-threatening injuries. She later died at the hospital, OSHP said.

The Jeep driver, a 66-year-old North Canton man, was taken to Aultman Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

State troopers say Lindberg wasn’t wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, which remains under investigation at this time.

the fact of the matter is the driver was trying to get a passenger in the vehicle to the hospital. why they didn't just call 911 we will never know. I don't believe that she knew that intersection very well and made a mistake. Before damning her just know that she was trying to save the life of another and lost hers in the process.

I bet many people driving don't have a driver's license.
