‘My Big Box of Isobars’: Retired Fox 8 Meteorologist Andre Bernier releases autobiography

CLEVELAND (WJW) — He has been retired from Fox 8 News for a few months now, but Andre Bernier has not strayed away from the world of weather. That’s evident in his new book, “My Big Box of Isobars.”

Fox 8 legend and our friend Andre Bernier joined the FOX 8 morning team Thursday to talk about his autobiography.

He says his new book isn’t your typical autobiography. It has details about memorable weather events, including the thickest fog ever, as well as the snow squall that stopped Andre in his tracks one morning.

He also wrote about what it was like to start in radio at 15, why he believes he lived in the best era for the ‘science of meteorology’, and the one post-retirement activity he reclaimed after giving it up for decades.

Andre will be holding a book signing event on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 11:30 a.m. at the Wadsworth Lion’s Club Galaxy Restaurant.
