Apple juice recall expanded to include products sold at Aldi, Walmart, Walgreens, BJs and more

(WJW) – Walmart announced on Friday that an apple juice recall due to potentially harmful levels of arsenic has been expanded.

Last month, the initial recall notice applied to nearly 10,000 cases of Walmart’s Great Value brand apple juice sold in six-packs of 8 ounce bottles. Now, according to the FDA link provided by Walmart, the recall has been expanded to include 133,500 cases of apple juice produced by Refresco Beverages US Inc. and sold under multiple brand names at a variety retailers including Aldi , Walgreens and BJs .

• Natures Nectar 100% apple juice; 64 oz; PET plastic bottle
• Wellsley Farms 100% apple juice; 96 oz; PET plastic bottle
• Solevita 100% apple juice; 64 oz; PET plastic bottle
• Clover Valley 100% apple juice; 64 oz; PET plastic bottle

According to the FDA, arsenic exposure at certain levels can be harmful to your health. Refresco Beverages US Inc. said that so far no incidents caused by the recalled products have been reported.
