The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a victim, who later died of his injuries, as 23-year-old Erin J. Strozier of East Cleveland. Strozier died at a hospital, according to the office.

The first shooting happened at about 1 a.m. near the intersection of Euclid and Collamer avenues.

East Cleveland officers then heard gunfire at the Mobil Gas Station along Euclid Avenue. Acting Police Chief Kenneth Lundy told the I-Team he heard about 30 rounds fired.

There, they found a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, as well as a man who had also been injured, he said.

“It had me shaking, it was so close to our vehicles,” the chief said. “I jumped out of my truck and a female ran up to me and said she was shot. The streets were packed so I knew it would take too long to get EMS there so I had her get in the back of my truck and we took her straight to the hospital.”

At about 2:30 a.m., officers also found a man critically wounded by gunfire in the 1300 block of Elwood Road, who was also transported to a hospital.
