FORECAST: How much warmth to expect before rain

CLEVELAND (WJW) — A weak cold front will move into the area tonight bringing the slim chance for a sprinkle or two. Most places will remain dry and quiet. A cool night ahead with temperatures in the 50s by tomorrow morning. Some spots could dip into the upper 40s.

A bit warmer tomorrow afternoon with temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s, seasonal warmth. Sunshine will return with a quiet and dry day.

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY will be in effect through this evening. Waves will build to 3 to 7 feet.

Temperatures will continue to warm through the rest of the week. Highs on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will be in the lower to mid 80s.

The tropics are starting to become more active. Tropical Storm Francine developed in the Gulf of Mexico Monday morning. Francine is forecast to strengthen into a hurricane before making landfall across the Louisiana Gulf Coast Wednesday into Wednesday night.

The remnants of Francine will continue to track north into Ohio River Valley by the weekend. Moisture from the remnants of this tropical system could bring a few rain showers to area during this time.
