During opening statements, prosecutors told jurors that the evidence would show Silver is guilty of all the charges. But, Silver has maintained his innocence.

Silver faces 19 charges, including 15 charges of aggravated murder. He is accused of killing four people, including a pregnant woman.

Prosecutors allege that sometime between Sept. 7, 2019, and Sept. 21, 2019, Silver approached the four victims, two females ages 18 and 19, and two males, ages 20 and 23, inside a home near East 144th Street and Kinsman Road, where they were staying at the time.

He’s accused of shooting all four victims multiple times as they were lying on two mattresses on the floor. The 18-year-old female victim was five and a half months pregnant. The decomposed bodies were found Sept. 21.
