‘Regain their trust’: Warren-born Dave Grohl admits to cheating on wife, fathering child

(WJW) — One of the world’s most famous rock musicians took to Instagram Tuesday to make a tough statement regarding his personal life.

Warren-born Dave Grohl , 55, admitted to cheating on his wife and fathering a child outside of their marriage.

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” Grohl wrote in the Instagram statement. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

The Foo Fighters frontman (and Nirvana drummer) married Jordyn Blum in 2003. They have three daughters between the ages of 10 and 18. This is Grohl’s second marriage.

It’s unclear what the news means for any scheduled band performances moving forward. Foo Fighters began doing concerts again last year after drummer Taylor Hawkins’ death in 2022.
