YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Witnesses told police Tuesday afternoon they saw someone running through a vacant lot carrying a rifle after several shots were fired at a South Side home.

Police were called just before 3 p.m. Tuesday for a report of shots fired at a home in the 100 block of East Judson Avenue. When they arrived, witnesses told police that they saw someone wearing a mask and carrying a rifle run through a vacant lot toward a waiting SUV on Hilton Avenue.

Reports said the home had 10 bullet holes, but no one inside was injured.

People at the house told police they believed the shooting stemmed from an attempted fight earlier this year over a relationship.

    Detectives are investigating.
