SEE IT: Local library transformed into Oz!

AVON LAKE , Ohio (WJW) – Children will feel as if they’re not in Kansas anymore (or Ohio) when they step inside the Avon Lake Public Library this month.

In honor of the beloved movie ‘ The Wizard of Oz ‘ celebrating it’s 85th anniversary, the library has transformed into the ‘Wonderful land of Oz!’

According to a description on the library’s website , the educational exhibit takes families “over the rainbow to the colorful Land of Oz, Munchkinland, The Emerald City, and more.”

And, if there’s any question whether you’re at the right place, just look for the giant ruby slippers out front.

The exhibit inside features immersive displays and interactive moments as families follow the yellow brick road.

There’s a swirling 8-foot tornado, a replica of Dorothy’s iconic ruby slippers, friendly flying monkeys, and watch out for the ‘Wicked Witch of the West’ who may be spotted running around. Watch the video above to see so much more!
