Michael Jordan’s mansion has a buyer after years on the market

(WJW) — Can you imagine living in a house once owned by one of the greatest basketball players in history? That will soon be a reality for a lucky someone.

According to CBS News , Crain’s Chicago Business and other media outlets, after more than 12 years on the market, Michael Jordan ‘s Chicago-area mansion finally has a buyer.

The property reportedly went under contract over the weekend.

The original price of the property was $29 million, but was cut to $14.9 million several years ago.

The 56,000 square-foot property is located in Highland Park, a wealthy Chicago suburb. The home, which you can view on Zillow , has nine bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, a circular infinity pool, home gym, putting green, tennis court, cigar room and, of course, a regulation-sized basketball gymnasium.

The front gate also features the number 23, Jordan’s jersey number when he played for the Chicago Bulls. The team retired his number 23 jersey in 1994.

There has been no announcement about who bought the property.
