Woman killed in crash at Headlands Beach State Park

MENTOR HEADLANDS, Ohio (WJW) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that happened at Headlands Beach State Park.

Troopers responded just after 5 a.m.

According to a press release, a driver in a 3-wheel motorcycle was headed northbound on State Route 44 and crashed into the entrance gate, which was closed.

The driver then went off the road and crashed on the east side of the road.

The vehicle was being driven by Jacqueline Ferebee, 42, of Cleveland, who was killed, according to a press release.

It is not known if drugs or alcohol were a factor, troopers say.

The area was closed for multiple hours while troopers investigated.
