LOOK: The baby pygmy hippo people are going wild over

(WJW) — An Ohio -born hippo named Fiona took the internet by storm years ago. Now, there’s a new baby hippo capturing the hearts of people around the world.

Her name is Moo Deng. She is a two-month old pygmy hippo and she lives at the Khao Kheow Open Zoo in the Chonburi Province in eastern Thailand .

According to posts on the zoo’s social media pages, Moo Deng, which means “Bouncing Pig” in Thai, has been drawing huge crowds to the zoo with people lining up for hours just to get a peek at the internet’s newest viral sensation.

The crowds have gotten so large, however, the zoo started limiting group sizes and the time allotted to see her, Fox News reported .

The zoo continuously shares pictures and videos on social media of the baby hippo and her mom as they munch on food, play with their keepers and get sprayed with water.

Moo Deng’s stardom has even spurred new merchandise, fan art and lots of internet memes, particularly pictures of her with her toothless mouth wide open.

People can’t get enough.

Even the Cleveland Cavaliers got in on the hippo hype, shouting out Moo Deng in a post on X Tuesday.

According to the San Diego Zoo , pygmy hippos are found in parts of West Africa and are considered to be endangered.
