Family goes viral for ‘JKLMNO’ alphabetical order names

(WJW) – A group of siblings is going viral for their unique “JKLMNO” alphabetical order names.

The third sibling in the group, Lauren Humphreys, posted a TikTok video called “rating things my parents did.” The first and only thing Humphreys rated was that her parents “Had six kids and named us in alphabetical order – 1000/10.”

The video got more than 3.3 million views, more than 446,000 likes and more than 1,600 comments.

The video left many viewers and commenters asking, did Humphreys’ parents plan to have “JKLMO” kids?

Humphreys then posted a follow-up video , explaining how her and her siblings got their names.

“It started out purely a coincidence. My older sister, if she had been a boy, she would have been Matthew,” Humphreys explained . “They liked the name Jolene so they went with Jolene. Now, the second child comes along. If she would have been a boy, she would have been Matthew. She is named Kelsie.”

Humphreys said that by this point, her parents realized their children’s names happened to be in alphabetical order.

“So now third child comes along, that’s me. My name is Lauren and if I had been a boy, I would have been Luke,” she said.

By their fourth child, they finally got to use the name Matthew, but if he had been a girl, his name would have been Molly, explained Humphreys.

“So then little Nolan comes along, and he would have been a Nora if he had been a girl,” she said. “And then last but certainly not least was our sweet ‘O’ child. She ended up being a girl, Olivia. Had she been a boy, she would have been Owen.”

According to PEOPLE , the six siblings range in age from 24 to 38.
