Troopers seize $24K worth of meth on Ohio interstate

(WJW) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is sharing details about a recent meth bust.

According to a press release from the patrol, troopers stopped a Hyundai Sonata with Tennessee plates on Interstate 75 on Sept. 14, just after midnight.

Troopers said the vehicle had a moving violation, which is why they were pulling them over.

When they did, a drug-sniffing K-9 alerted to the vehicle, according to a press release.

Troopers seized 6 pounds of methamphetamine they said is worth $24,000.

Troopers arrested three people in the vehicle.

Levi Eastgate, 24, of Virginia; Holly Ramey, 25, of Tennessee; and Damion Fryer, 29, of Detroit, were booked in the Shelby County jail.

All three face charges of aggravated trafficking and possession.

Troopers said, if convicted, they could each face up to 33 years in prison.
