Bullet found on Medina City Schools elementary school bus

MEDINA , Ohio (WJW) — A Medina City Schools elementary school bus driver found a bullet during a routine cleaning on Thursday, Sept. 19, according to an email sent to district families that day.

Students on the bus at the time were searched and nothing else was found. Police are now investigating, according to Superintendent Aaron Sable.

A police officer rode the bus home with students that afternoon, he wrote. Parents of the students on the bus were notified directly.

The school district has not received any threats, nor are there any active threats toward district schools, Sable wrote.

“We want to reassure you that the safety of our students remains our top priority,” he wrote. “We also encourage all parents and students to continue reporting anything that appears to be unusual. It’s through these collective efforts that we can maintain a safe environment for our schools.”
