Cheers to Cleveland Beer Week starting next week

CLEVELAND (WJW) — Cleveland Beer Week begins next Friday. That means you can celebrate Cleveland’s excellent supply of local breweries starting then through Oct. 13 with true purpose.

The event, which kicked off back in 2009 as a way to highlight local breweries while raising money for local charities, is truly a collaboration of many events running all week long.

Featured events include the Oct. 4 kickoff, Pumking Poker Run , which is a beer crawl starting at Southern Tier Brewing, along with a golf outing and a big boat ride.

Find out all about the various events right here. Tickets run $25 and up depending on how much you want to spend.

Proceeds from Cleveland Beer Week are going to the Malone Scholarship Program, Rec2Connect and Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter.
