Fan’s sign targeting Bills QB Josh Allen wasn’t received well by players or fans

(WJW) — You never quite know what you’re going to see when a camera takes a crowd shot at an NFL game. During the Bills and Jaguars game, a Monday Night Football camera caught one fan’s sign that caused a wave of reaction from players and fans.

During the second quarter of the game, the camera cut to a woman in the crowd holding a sign that reads “Josh, I just got married. But I’d leave my husband for you! P.S. He’s right here.”

The woman, of course, was aiming her words at Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

A man, who many on social media assume is her new husband, is standing beside her with an emotionless expression on his face.

Sauce Gardner, a cornerback for the New York Jets, and Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay, both weighed in on the sign .

“She really just risked it all for a viral moment. You gotta ask yourself man… Is it really worth it?” Gardner wrote on X.

“Most females these days will call you insecure if you get mad at this behavior,” another Gardner post read.

Slay responded to Gardner’s post with “That’s facts!!”

Fans also didn’t bite their tongues when it came to their feelings on the sign. Many felt bad for the husband, saying the wife disrespected him and the sign was grounds for divorce.

Allen himself did not address the sign. He was busy leading the team to a 47-10 victory over Jacksonville. It also appears he’s currently happy in a relationship with singer and actress Hailee Steinfeld.
