(WJW) – Ann Wilson, the lead singer of the rock band Heart, shared the latest news on her cancer battle with fans on Wednesday.

The “Barracuda” and “Alone” singer posted an audio recording on Facebook , announcing that she’s “doing absolutely fine now, but it’s been, to put it mildly, a lot.”

“Chemo is no joke. It takes a lot out of a person, and then that two weeks of waiting around for test results, a form of mental torture,” Wilson said in the post. “For anyone who’s been through that, I empathize big time.”

Wilson went on to give some wonderful news about her cancer journey.

“I’m excited to share with you that I’m finished with chemo and I’m official ready to get ready for the tour in 2025,” she said.

Wilson announced back in July she was taking a break from touring due to her cancer diagnosis. The band was supposed to join Journey and Def Leppard at Progressive Field over the summer.

According to the band’s website , the “Royal Flush Tour” is now scheduled to kick off in Las Vegas on Feb. 28.

Although her health battle continues, medical experts told Wilson the side effects will be much less severe moving forward.

“The worst is over,” she said. “I’m immensely grateful to everyone who prayed and sent me those good vibes. I’ve so felt your love.”

She ended the video by encouraging others to get checked regularly.

“My story has a happy ending due in part to early detection,” Wilson said. “I love you all and will see you very, very soon. There’s much to celebrate.”

Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
