FORECAST: How Helene could impact NE Ohio

(WJW) – A few sprinkles this morning with some patchy fog in places. Most places will remain dry through the morning and afternoon. Quiet today with mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures will be seasonal in the mid-70s.

Clouds stick around this evening with a quiet forecast. We will hang out in the 70s and eventually the 60s tonight. The forecast is dry even with the cloudy conditions.

Most of the daytime hours on Friday should be dry.

The moisture from Hurricane Helene will move into the region Friday night into the weekend. Friday night showers will move into the area from the south with breezy conditions.

The moisture could work its way up into our southern areas by the final down of some of our Friday night games. Winds could gust up to 25 miles per hour. Stay tuned, track and speed could change after Hurricane Helene makes landfall.

So far, rainfall won’t be heavy but a few showers from time-to-time Friday evening. Saturday and Sunday may also feature variably cloudy skies with a passing shower from time-to-time but not a washout. With a southerly flow, temperatures and humidity rise a little for the weekend.

The heavier rain will fall along the Ohio River Valley.
