CLEVELAND (WJW) – It’s Week 6 of the high school football season right here on Friday Night Touchdown! FOX 8 crews were out across Northeast Ohio to bring you the best matchups in high school football.

We began with an old Summit County rivalry game. Hudson traveled to Wadsworth.

The Grizzles are the defending Suburban League champs and have dominated their opponents this year, becoming one of the highest scoring teams in Northeast Ohio.

The Explorers had won three straight with their defense holding their opponents to an average of 7 points in the past three weeks.

Wadsworth came out on top, defeating Hudson 21-14.

We stayed in Summit County for a battle of the Bulldogs! Canton McKinley faced Green.

The Green Bulldogs knocked off McKinley last season in Stark County, winning by one-point. This year, Canton McKinley beat Green 26-17.

Our Friday Night Touchdown Game of the Week took us to Cleveland to Don Shula Stadium on the campus of John Carroll. The Benedictine Bengals welcomed Division II power, the Walsh Jesuit Warriors.

Benedictine had lost its past three matchups to Walsh and tonight continued that streak. Walsh Jesuit defeated Benedictine 20-12.

Finally, for our Chick-fil-A Rivalry Game of the Week, Cleveland Heights traveled to Strongsville. In the end, Strongsville came out on top with a 28-6 win.
