AKRON, Ohio (WJW) — The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company announced a new round of layoffs, including dozens in Akron.

The Akron-headquartered company confirmed the layoffs with FOX 8 News on Monday afternoon.

U.S. could soon see shortages and price increases

“Last week, as part of our ongoing Goodyear Forward transformation, we announced a reduction of 82 roles across Goodyear’s corporate functions, Global Operations & Technology and Americas business,” a company spokesperson said in a statement.

Here we go more layoffs after Akron made sure they a new Headquarters to work in now they do this. One thing is for sure it won't be high enough up the corporate ladder to do much good they always weed out the little guy that doesn't make as much as one of their greedy CEOs those are the one's that should be going save money and letting people that have homes and a family keep working.I use to have a lot of respect for Goodyear even after in 82 on River Street when cement house exploded and my dad and 2 pipe fitters we're caught in there and my dad and pipefitter died. All they tried real hard to say it wasn't the companies fault it turned out to be.Sorry this is so long just trying to say the head honchos should be cut and not the jobs and people that don't make what they do being let go. Goodyear now you'll never see me or me take up for you again😡😡
