CLEVELAND (WJW) – A Cleveland man convicted of murdering four people in 2019 will now spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Terrell Silver, 35, was sentenced to five life terms without the possibility of parole.

Despite maintaining his innocence in court, both the judge and the victims’ families delivered powerful statements during the sentencing.

The tragic incident occurred in September 2019, when prosecutors say Silver was with four individuals inside a home near East 144th Street.

Those four individuals—Jazyme Lawson, who was five months pregnant, Aiyanna Quitman, Dejuan Willis, and Christopher Monroe—were later found dead from gunshot wounds. Their decomposing bodies were discovered by police on September 21st.

Earlier this month, Silver was found guilty on all murder charges. On the day of sentencing, he faced the reality of his punishment but first listened to emotional statements from the victims’ families.

Tammy Quitman, mother of one of the victims, shared the heartbreak of losing her daughter, Aiyanna, in a powerful victim impact statement. “I will never have the honor of taking my daughter to a bridal shop for a wedding dress. I will never set up a baby shower for her child. I will never get any of that,” Quitman said.

Although Silver was given an opportunity to speak, he continued to claim his innocence, stating, “I did not kill any of those four people, but I will apologize for all that you have gone through in this process. No parent should have to bury their child.”

The judge, however, stood by the findings of the case, reminding Silver of the strength of the evidence and the jury’s decision. Despite the tragedy, the hope remains that some form of peace can come to the families forever impacted by this horrific crime.

Silver will serve five life terms without parole, ensuring he spends the remainder of his life in prison.
