When Boo Buckets will be back at McDonald’s

(WJW) — Tis the season for trick-or-treating, dressing up in costumes and grabbing a Boo Bucket from McDonald’s .

The fast food giant announced on social media Tuesday that its fan favorite plastic Boo Buckets would be available starting Oct. 15.

The picture shared on X showed the Boo Buckets will come in four different colors this year: orange, green, blue and white. The blue bucket is new this year, replacing last year’s purple one. Customers can also customize their buckets with themed sticker sets.

Once they launch, the buckets will temporarily replace the company’s cardboard Happy Meal containers. They can be used as trick-or-treat buckets or Halloween decorations as well.

McDonald’s first debuted the Boo Buckets in 1986. The limited-time buckets were a staple during the season before they vanished from 2016 to 2022.

Fans flooded the comment sections on X and Facebook with many people voicing their excitement and the sense of nostalgia the buckets bring.
