BAY VILLAGE, Ohio (WJW) – The Fox 8 I-Team has learned that investigators working on the murder case of Amy Mihaljevic have evidence they hope may lead to a break in the case.

2nd arrest on arson charge in street takeover

Bay Village Detective Sgt. Jay Elish tells the Fox 8 I-Team Amy’s clothing was recently re-tested for DNA, and the lab found an unknown male’s DNA on her clothing. But the amount of the male DNA found was too low to get a profile.

However, Elish says detectives were told there may be new DNA tests in the future that will be able to get a profile with that small amount of DNA.

Elish says he is “optimistic” that DNA advancements can possibly help lead them to Amy’s killer.
